• Health Screenings
Offered to area businesses and customized to what you want. Ionia County Memorial Hospital's health fairs can include: Blood pressure checks, weight and height, blood sugar checks, blood testing for cholesterol levels, flexibility, grip strength, posture, % body fat, medication consultation.
Regular Screenings take place during the year:
May 12th - Women's Health Check Up Day at the Tony Balice Clinic, 550 E. Washington St., Ionia
July 22nd - Prostate Cancer Screening Day at ICMH Specialty Clinic
February, May, August and October - American Red Cross Mobile Blood Drive
September - Colorectal Screening

FESTIVAL OF TREES
ICMH participates in the annual Festival of Trees coordinated by the Parks and Recreation Dept. of the City of Ionia. Decorated Christmas Trees are on display for a weekend, and visitors vote for their favorite tree. Proceeds go to the Bob Miller Activity Fund to help children attend camps and clinics held by the Parks & Recreation Dept.
IONIA FREE FAIR 5K
For the 3rd year, Ionia County Memorial Hospital will be a sponsor of the Ionia Free Fair's 5K race on the first Saturday of the Ionia Free Fair. This year it is scheduled for Saturday, July 18th at 8:00 am. The race is coordinated by the Ionia Parks & Recreation Department, 523-1800.
ICMH provides drinks and snacks for the participants after the race. We also provide a few runners in the annual event.
UNITED WAY OF IONIA COUNTY
Iona County Memorial Hospital employees are active participants in the annual United Way fund drive. As a Pacesetter, we are working towards an even larger participation of employees this year. Our early campaign began in July 2008, within three weeks we had almost $3,000 pledged for the United Way of Ionia County. It is not too late to give.
ACS RELAY FOR LIFE
Ionia County Memorial Hospital is active in many ways though-out the community. Our staff is a key element in the annual American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. Jean Day and Rice Krispy Sales is two of the successful fundraisers throughout the year. ICMH raised over $2,500 in 2007 for ACS. This year the Relay for Life was August 22 & 23 at the Ionia Fairgrounds and raised over $3,000. In 2009 the dates are August 7 & 8th at the Ionia Fairgrounds again. Our goals this year is $3,200.
GIRLS' NIGHT OUT (Women's Festival of Ionia County)
For 13 years ICMH has participated and been a part of the steering committee to bring this wonderful event to the women of Ionia County. This year it will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2009, at the Royal Heritage Conference Center in Ionia. It runs from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. It is a fun night out to check out 30 different business and services offered to just women! The hospital will have a booth where you can get your blood pressure checked and gather healthcare information from our staff. FIRST AID STATIONS
ICMH provides staff, supplies, and time to many different events during the year in the way of first aid stations - from Red Hackers, to community festivals, to bike tours through our town, tractor shows, and our course, the 10 days of the Ionia Free Fair. Employees, friends, past employees, friends, neighbors, and volunteers come together to keep our community healthy at these events.
